Professional Firms
In setting up a professional firm, 100% foreign ownership and sole proprietorship are permitted. Such firms may engage in professional or artisan activities. A UAE national must be appointed as Local Service Agent (Wakeel Khidmaat), but he has no direct involvement in the business and is paid a lump sum sponsorship fees per year. The role of the Local Service Agent is to assist in obtaining license, visa, labour card, etc.
+ Trading, Industrial and Tourism Licenses can be made LLC or Sole Establishment with UAE National’s 100% ownership. Expatriate investor cannot take 100% ownership of these licenses. But in Professional License, 100% expatriate ownership and sole proprietorship are permitted.
