If I lost my Emirates ID how can I apply for ID lieu of lost?

STEPS TO FOLLOW
• Visit nearest EIDA registration Center to collect IDN Certificate and go to the certified Typing Centre to apply in lieu of lost. Show original passport along with copy of your ID or old registration receipt (if any) to collect IDN Certificate. No need Police Certificate. Reissuing fee is Dh370 (including typing charge).

NOTE: Reissuing fee in lieu of lost is Dh370 for all categories regardless of year. Your ID card expiry date will be same as written in your current visa. If your card lost before a short period of your visa expiry, you can wait till the time of visa renew. At the time of visa renew, you can collect IDN Certificate from Emirates ID Customer Service Centre and renew your card from authorized Typing Centre.

• No need fingerprint. But you should check your ID application which you received from Typing Centre. If your previous  fingerprint was not clear in Emirates ID system it will ask you to do it again. Then you can go to any of the ID Centre attached to Medical Clinic. Take your Original Passport and typed application. This application is valid for two months only. If you didn't complete biometrics within 60 days, your application will be cancelled automatically and you will have to pay again.

Q: My Emirates ID was taken by Immigration Department at the time of canceling my previous visa. Now I came on new visa. How can I apply for Emirates ID again?

A: Emirates ID Number is a life long digital ID for citizens and residents. Your ID number will not change when you come on new visa. Visit nearest EIDA registration Center to collect IDN Certificate and go to the certified Typing Centre to apply for new ID. Show your original passport, New Visa and copy of your old ID (if any) to collect IDN Certificate.

Fees: Depends on your new visa period: (Dh 170/270/370)

NOTE: You can't collect IDN Certificate from ID centre near Medical Clinics. You should go to Emirates ID Customer Service Centre like Karama, Barsha, Rashidiya in Dubai.

Emirates ID Renewal:
ID card validity is directly linked to the validity of the residency permit, once expired or terminated the ID card Expires.

Required Documents: Original ID Card, Original Passport with valid visa. Service available at the authorized typing centres. No need to visit EIDA Service Centre. Previous fingerprint and photo are enough.
• You should check your ID application which you received from Typing Centre. If your previous  fingerprint was not clear in Emirates ID system it will ask you to do it again. Then you can go to any of the ID Centre attached to Medical Clinic. Take your Original Passport and typed application. This application is valid for two months only. You will receive SMS from Emirates post to collect the Card from post office. Take D renewal application with you when you go to Emirates Post to collect your card. Incase the previous fingerprint was not clear, the applicant will receive an SMS to attend for fingerprint again.
